A marvelous diary from WW1 of a private soldier in 'the Kensingtons' 13th London Regiment. 76pp in a very legible hand with some ephemera, photos and drawings. Runnign from joining up, training, departure for France and the first months in the trenches. Wryly amusing, clearly the writer, a B. Howard was a man of some intelligence with a good eye for the telling detail. A view from 'Tommy Atkins' of the beginning of a war that was to drag on with catastrophic consequences for another four years.
A unique photograph album, belonging to 'Speed Queen' Kitty Brunel, a souvenir of the very first Scottish rally of 1932
