The Economist; or New Family Cookery, by Anthony Haselmore twenty seven years cook in a nobleman's family. 1st edition of 1823. No copy of first edition held in any library other than Leeds. No copy in BL.13 plates + illustrated title page + frontispiece. Rebacked, original spine laid laid down, original marbled endpapers. Contemporary calf binding, with gilt detailing to spine, little bit rubbed and marked, but a very pleasing copy.
