A book found signed often enough, but rarely a presentation copy from the author, a notoriously difficult man, who wrote with Kiteworld, and Pavane, two of the finest alternative reality fictions set in England. This is a good copy in a complete unclipped wrapper. Tiny bit of edgewear to wrapper, one corner a little b it bumped but really very good.

First edition of the Arkham House collection of Lovecraft's 'lesser' short fiction, though including some macabre classics. Fine copy in a complete jacket illustrated by the great Lee Brown Coye.

This is a very nice copy of Hal Clement's classic Needle, published by Doubleday in 1950. His first book. Good unclipped dustjacket, small repair to base of jacket at spine resulting in loss of 'y' from publisher's (Doubleday) name.Very slight edgewear to jacket, slight grubbiness to edges of rear panel. Slight grubbiness to page edges at base of book. Softeneing to base of spine cloth but a VG copy despite these small faults.

The book is one of his first attempts to see humanity from an alien perspective as an alien lifeform/hunter uses the body of a teenage boy as a host to track it's quarry.
